WEEK 13 - RAIN & SICKNESS

We are now well into the rainy season which has made progress somewhat sporadic. Coupled with a bout of flu amongst the building team, this week has seen less progress than of late. However, Brett & Sabina have had the opportunity to observe the build daily at first-hand and make changes where necessary. In addition, visits to local suppliers have enabled decisions on roof, swimming pool and floor/wall tiles to be made.

The south-west facing stone wall is now complete to the first floor level .....

however, the inclement weather has delayed progress on the north-west wall.

As with all building projects, alterations to the origional plans become apparent during the process and what was planned as a back-filled space has now become a storage area on the ground floor.

Once again, the main thrust has been the form and steel work for the beams and floor.
We were hoping to makethe big caste next week, but the rain has resulted in the forecast now being the week after.

Scratching the head sometimes helps!

The bamboo is still supporting the floor and the stones are awaiting the masons' attention.

The weather may havr delayed the work, but it has produced some spectacular sunsets.
