Week 16 has been a memorable one for the Tea House project. In temperatures that have been in the mid-eighties all week, the Team have completed the cast of the first floor and commenced the block-work for the two en-suite bedrooms and first-floor loo. So lots of photos this week - I hope you enjoy!
PHASE ONE - THE CAST On Monday the work-force was increased to 18 for the big cast of the first floor. The team split into 4 groups and above can be seen the 'mixer fillers' poised for action .........

and here in full swing.

The concrete having been mixed, the 'bucket fillers' shovelled the material in preparation for .........

the 'bucket lifters' to transport the concrete to the top of the scaffolding.

This photo is out of sequence, but shows O'Neil 'hard at work' with the vibrator.

Once the concrete reached the first-floor level, the 'barrowers' took over to transport it to where it was next needed.

It's the same all over the world - one working, 5 watching!!!

Nearly there.

The last corner.

Complete.

The Masters review there work at close quarters ........

and declare themselves satisfied.

The tradtional and well earned 'cup of tea' after a job well done.

Time for home.
PHASE TWO - THE BLOCK The remainder of the week has seen block work commenced for the 2 en-suite bathrooms and downstairs loo.

The view from the tower scaffolding,

and floor level.

Whilst up the tower, I took a picture of the new acqisition and the near neighbours.

Also the partially cast tower beam reported last week,

and a couple of general views.

The whole project is now begining to look very large from every angle, but after such a big step forward this week, there are 2 tropical waves forecast to cross St Lucia next week so heavy rain could present a problem.

Inspired by Kenrick's feats, the neighbours managed to cast on Thursday, however the mix was too wet and one of the walls collapsed and had to be recast.
