WEEK 15 - ALMOST THERE FOR THE BIG CAST

Week 15 saw a decrease in the rain and the loss of only half a day. However, there has been little or no wind and therefore extremely hot. The pictures are similar to last week, but the final preparations for a big cast are time consuming with little visual evidence.

Part of the circular beam for the tower has been cast and the scaffolding for the arch has been erected according to the drawings supplied by Malcolm.

Final adjustments to the formwork have been completed.

There is now a complicated lattice-work of conduit and pipes.

The external brick wall is now complete to first floor level at the front of the house.

Some views of the internal walls.

We are hoping to cast the first floor on Monday - will the neighbours be far behind?
