FIRST SITE- a Dream coming true!

We arrived on the Island 21st July & the carnival was in full swing.

We went to Casteries in a water Taxi to experienced a carribbean carnival in the blazing sunshine, great music, great colours, great chicken....fun!

Our first visit to site was the most exciting trip to the Bay, seeing our dream become reality.....I can't stop smiling!!

It's amazing to see the stone walls growing everyday, we can now walk around the inside of the basement studio....it's great.

Several residents on the Ridge have commented that we've got 'The Dream Team'!.... they've been keeping a close watch on the Tea House construction & are impressed.... we're very happy with the progress & the workmanship is looking good!

We've been extremely fortunate to have made friends with many wonderful residents who have been happy to share their own build experiences & offer lots of helpful advice, it's really reasuring to have so much support.

Brett had the excitment of venturing to the top of the wooden scaffold tower to check on the 360 Bay view.....from what's going to be the Sundowner Tower.

I was impressed with the outdoor workshop, fab view, fab location ... whilst the sun is shining.

We met the hard working Dream Team who seem to work really well together & seem like great guys, hopefully in time we'll get to know them, Kenrick is doing a great job in motivating his guys, they've been working Saturdays & Bank Holidays....they're on a mission & look to be best builders in the Bay at the moment.

One of the team grazes all day, watching the build progress; his work starts early morning, taking one of the crew to work.

We got a taste of what life has to offer in the carribbean, as we sailed down the coast for Sunday lunch..........very very special!

Since we've been back the house has progressed & it's really taking shape, we're due to go back in October......it may be sooner as I'm not sure I can wait that long.........
