WEEK 14 - A MINI-CAST

The weather has been kinder this week with only a few hours lost through heavy rain. Not much visual change to the general view, but the sprouting conduit and pipe-work depict the approaching cast of the first floor.

The external stone walls are now taking shape with the final positions of the windows being decided by Brett & Sabina prior to their departure.

It was decided during their visit that the internal walls facing the bay should be stone rather than the planned rendered concrete.

Work has continued to lay the steelwork that will reinforce the concrete beams and floor area.

Chris the plumber and Guy the electrician have had a big input once the steel is laid.

In order to decrease the size of the main cast - hopefully next week - Kenrick decided to have a 'mini-cast' on Friday ........

which included the stairs.

These were the piles of sand & readymix before the mini-cast mix .....

and this the remnants at completion. The main cast is going to make some big holes in the budget!!!!
