WEEK 12 - OWNERS' FIRST VISIT OF INSPECTION

Week 12 saw the arrival of Brett & Sabina for their first visit of inspection. Fortunately the weather has been typical caribbean with clear blue skies, hot sun and a cooling breeze.

Standing under what will be the tower.

Brett doing his 'Lord of all he surveys' impression.

Kenrick and his bosses.

Kenrick doing his 'fastest hammer in St Lucia' demonstration ....... just before he dropped it!

This is the usual overall picture, but it is getting increasingly difficult to get it all in as the pace of progress is accelerating.

Brett & SAbina's visit has allowed some decisions on detail to be taken - such as the position of the water tank cover which will now become a feature in the hall.

Building the stone wall is a lengthy process requiring a deal of skill from the masons to provide a uniform and decorative appearance, whilst still incorporating all the electrical conduit and plumbing material.

Good progress has been made.

The main thrust this week has been the continuation of the plywood form-work prior to the casting of the main floor.

The steel which will reinforce the concrete staircase.

All the plywood form work is supported by a forest of bamboo scaffolding.

Sabina was delighted to find the Flamboyant tree still in full bloom.
