THE BASEMENT FLAT FLOOR IS CASTE

The rainy season has again disrupted progress during week 9 with little being accomplished on the next-door-neighbours lot.

However, Kenrick and team have braved the elements and much has been achieved.

Some of the form-work has been removed from the kitchen bay window,

and this and the following photos show the 3 walls of the living room with lintels caste above the windows and door apertures - I hope they are the right dimensions/elevations!!

The bamboo scaffolding and form work for the first circular beam of the tower have been erected, with the steel-work already being inserted, though not visible in this picture.

Braving the strong winds - my excuse for poor quality photos(!) - I ventured to the top of the tower scaffolding and this and the following 2 photos show views of the site looking straight down.

The next 9 shots attempt to show a panoramic view from a level that is approxamately 7 feet lower than what will be eye height when the tower is complete.

Judicious tree trimming may be required for a full view of Trou Rolland.

The big achievement of the week was to caste the basement flat floor in between torrential showers of rain.

The second skin for the kitchen wall.

The beginings of the blockwork for the walls of the various rooms.

Steel reinforcement for the stairs.

Extensive electrical conduit and plumbing pipe work.

'Coolie Kenrick' in classic pose studying the latest version of the Plans!

The weekly view across the valley.

P.S. The latest addition to the Bullen household - Obbie the ferocious Doberman guard dog.
