WEEK 10 - BLOCK, BLOCK, & MORE BLOCK

A reasonable week weatherwise - cloudy but still hot & humid. No work on the main house/tower, but much achieved in the flat

Malcolm's excavator eventually arrived on Friday and levelled the ground for the car port.....

dug the ditch at the bottom of the drive in preparation for the metal grill, and excavated the 2 holes for the main columns at the front of the house - (pictures missing).

Concrete and mortar have been the order of the week ...

with the cement mixer working continuously to keep up.
Guy, the electrician is still smiling - I think!!!

H&S has been a priority this week ....

ah, a hard hat at last - if you look closely.

But block work in the basement flat has been the main thrust this week and the following photos should allow you to see all the rooms taking shape.

The stair-well with at least pictures of steps on the wall!!

The height of the rooms has surprised us all, but high ceilings are a bonus in hot weather.

Views from on high with no 'phantom walls' - I hope.

Kenneth the mason hard at it.

Kenrick indicating how much Piton he is going to drink when he has finished work.

No chance!!!!!!!!!!!!
