WEEK 181 - A WEEK OF BITS AND BOBS

Early in the week a team of experts set about lifting the generator into its final resting place. Using a suitable system of ropes, pulleys and chains ...

..... and with much verbal advice ......

..... it finally came to rest on the pump room veranda.

Jeffrey and his camera shy colleague have continued with the site clean-up.

Sadly, the Tower scaffolding is still in place. The lizard is complete and has been painted, however a decision is awaited as to whether the whole tower requires a final coat of paint.
More HLS sealer, then finally LLB for UV protection........

And at the front, the scaffolding has been increased in height to allow for the sanding and sealing of the fascia boards.

Sabina went to see the mahogany folding doors for the main terrace, they'll be ready for collection & fitting next week.

The 'bits and bobs' have included the fitting of the stainless steel ring into the water cistern access ..

..... and the manufacture and fitting of the hatch covers for the second cistern and the AV system speaker access.

The stone window sills for the Tower have been fashioned.

Acid is being used to clean the floor tiles.

The wall tiles in the Master Bedroom en-suite shower have been trimmed and await final plastering.

The floor boards for the landing leading to the Master Bedroom have been laid in place and await final fitting.

Terminus has continued to fit door and window trims ...

..... and latches to the front shutters.
