Another good, dry week with progress on several fronts.
The main push has been the major site clearance.
The site is now surrounded by piles of wood and stones various - but at least they are tidy!
About 10 truck loads of rubble/rubbish have been removed and transported to provide back fill on a neighbouring site.
When closely inspected it transpired that the mahogany off-cuts were all infested with termites. Fortunately they were the 'surface' variety that had not penetrated the wood .......
.... so all the bark was removed .....
..... and the remaining logs will be treated prior to Sabina turning them into chess pieces.
Elsewhere, Shevran and O'Niel put in place the final tiles over the flashing...
........ thin-set was used to make the seal between the roof and the tower ...
........ and Terminus continued on-site to fit the trims around the doors and windows.
Sabina selected a carpenter to manufacture the folding doors for the entrance hall veranda.
Enough said!!!!!
A rare appearance of 'Mr Topstone' resulted in much prevarication regarding the positioning of the taps in the master bedroom en-suite.
But will it be the right decision?!!
....... but will we see it in its full glory with the scaffolding removed by next week?
