WEEK 4 - THE FIRST CASTE

The weather has remained hot and sunny for the most part but there has been some short, but heavy showers at dawn. As the water in the old tanks is now quite low, the 2 black water tanks have been connected to the shed and rain water is now collected for future use.

The majority of the work this week has been the preparation and fitting of form work for the numerous beams for the first floor. This is a time consuming task and will probably last for at least another week.

The stone wall for the car-port has continued to be built and, as can be seen from the pictures, it is a good match for the original wall.

As reassurance for Sabina, the trunks of the felled Flamboyant Trees have survived!

As reported last week, bamboo has been used to support the form work for the Pump Room and Decking…….

And here is the first completed caste.

P.S. Just a reminder of the view from the first floor level.
