WEEK 159 - THE IGUANAS ARE LANDING

Another good week with the dry season arriving as the wet season is due to begin!

The first of the louvered doors and windows have been fitted.

The plasterers have been fitting the last of the glass blocks into the main staircase, ...

..... filling the scaffolding holes in the Tower wall ......

.... and plastering the walls of the turret viewing area on top of the Tower.

At long last the flashings are being fitted to the north/south roofs. This will hopefully make the structure water proof and prevent further damage to the interior.

The Sikkens bill grows daily!

If you click on this photo and enlarge it you may just be able to make out the first drawing of the 26' high lizard that will adorn the external wall of the Tower. The shape will be carved into the plaster and, reputedly, will show the lizard shape when the sun is at the right angle. We await with great anticipation!

Now who would have such an impressive workshop ......

..... and professional looking bench here in St Lucia?

It could only be Clem who has arrived from the UK to fit the stainless steel railings that he hand forged at home.

He also hand-made this incredible bronze green iguana ...

whose future home will be the newel post at the bottom of the stairs.

No week would be complete without Kenrick who is fitting the extractor fan over the kitchen stove.

The customary long-range shot.

And finally Sabina, who has so many frustration balls in the air at the moment, I'm astonished she manages to keep her cool!!!!!
