WEEK 114 - THE FIRST WINDOWS

This is the view from our balcony during one of the numerous tropical showers that pass daily.  After last year's 'wet' season which was the driest on record, 2010 seems to be making up for it - or perhaps it's just a reaction to Sabina leaving us last Sunday!

The good news is that the prospective manufacturer of the green heart doors and windows has produced the first batch of round windows to a satisfactory standard.

The wood for the remainder of the order has been taken from site which has, at long last, left some space and an opportunity to see the real size of the rooms.

The western roof has been tiled this week ....

(Apologies for the leg with boot!)

..... and the skylights put into position in both guest bedrooms.  (Don't worry about the crooked angles Brett, they are only temporarily wedged before final permanent fixing).

The plasterers are still finding minor nooks and crannies to finish off.

The first of the drywall ceilings and wooden beams have been put in place in the entrance hall to the Studio Flat.

And the usual views from around the ridge.
