It has been a week of idyllic Caribbean weather for everyone, except for those households like us, who rely entirely on rainfall for our domestic water supplies! However, it is great for building and good progress has been made.
The final rafters have been inserted in the west roof, including the 4"x8" supports.
The final task on Friday prior to the break for Journee Creole, was to cast the beam which holds the rafters and supports in position.
The final rafter has been installed in the south roof .......
and with the east roof already complete, '3 out of 4 aint bad' as Meat Loaf would say.
Also this week, the fascia boards for the west wing have been installed.
Chris has continued the lonely task of planing, treating and sand sealing the Mora planks .....
.. and storing them in the Tower.
The posers of the week are O'Neil ......
and of course Kenrick who always needs to study the plans when the camera comes out!
And finally, the usual general shots as I wandered around the Bay. You will recall that if you click on any of the photos, they will enlarge to full screen size.
I will be in UK for the next 2 weeks, however Sabina arrives on-island today and will, I'm sure, keep the blog going.
