I arrived back to the Creole Day Festivities....really fun. It's great to be back!
Monday was more serious....our wood shows signs of Powderpost Beetles....We now have to think about some heavy duty treatment to eliminate any future attacks.....more unforeseen expense.

There's a reduced crew this week all working hard on the roof. The infected pieces of wood were separated & counted so I could order more for the next container which is due mid November.

I'm impressed with the progress of the roof, it's really looking pretty amazing. The skylight is shaping up nicely. The fascia board has worked out fine.

Kenrick is busy making a sample of the louvres to ensure the angle & spacing is correct.

The felt & ribs have been put on ready for the clay tiles.

The end of the week shows the skylight nearly complete.
The pest control specialist is due next week to advise us of the best solution to eliminate any possiblity of future Beetle occurrances.

As I walk back to The Stone House I look at the view of the Tea House & get a really excited feeling.......I still can't believe we're really building such an amazing house in such a fabulous location!!
I ended the week with a couple of Piton Beers at sunset on top of the Tower.......hmmmmmm!
