Week 80- The First Clay Tile!

The week started with stripping off the roof felt & getting ready for the exterminator on Tuesday.

Heavy duty chemicals were used to spray the wood & kill any possible Powderpost Beetles.

Meanwhile Kenrick & Team worked on the entrance stairs.....an extra one was necessary.

The Louvres for the skylight are also being made, Ital was busy assembling the pieces.
By mid-week full attention was on the roof, it's been hot & showery, but it didn't stop work.

The most exciting moment was seeing the first tile being fixed!!!!
Now it's full steam ahead, the tiles are going on pretty quickly & looking great.
This is a great view showing the progress of the roof, tiles, slats & rafters.

Jeff's been away, hence I'm keeping the Blog updated, I think he'll be pleasantly surprised at this weeks progress. Brett's flown back to the UK today, back in December, I'm hoping I'll have had the 3rd container of wood delivered by then.......fingers crossed!!
