WEEK 28 - CONCRETE, STEEL & BLOCK

After 2 weeks of sunshine we've had another rain interrupted week as can be seen here with water standing on the kitchen roof and the grey skies visible in some of the photos.

The usual view across the valley.

The Jacuzzi still awaiting casting.

The old pool steps in the corner have been demolished and the form-work for the new ones installed.

The steps were cast on Friday ...........

following the installation of the conduit for the fibre-optic lights in the steps.

The columns have continued to grow and we are now only 4 feet from beam height.

Once again the Tower has been the main focus of the week. Sadly, heavy rain on Friday and thieves breaking into Kenrick's truck whilst it was parked by the lot, thwarted his goal of completing the 12" block-work by week's end.

The view looking straight up to the top of the Tower.

The floor on the top of the Tower has now been cast.

The long haul of buckets of concrete to the top of the Tower was made easier by the use of Kenrick's home-made wooden pulley!

The opposition's tower is also coming on well.

Your second home is looking good from the top of the Tower .........

but still no cast next-door.
