Another rain interrupted week but some progress has been made between the storms.
The entire ring beam has now been cast ...........
unlike the neighbours who have yet to complete the form-work!
The form-work has been removed from the gable-end and you are now able to see the aperture for the round window.
The steel reinforcement has been placed in the stairs leading to the Master Bedroom.
Most of the form-work has been removed from the arch leading into the Tower .....
and the Tower columns have been cast to the next level.
The form-work has also been removed from the first main column .......
and moved to the second, which has also been cast.
The major effort this week has centered on the Pump Room. Here you can see the floor of the
veranda adjacent to the Pump Room has been cast .........
and here the Pump Room itself, complete with rain-brick windows for ventilation.
This is the
beginnings of the steps which will lead from the Pump Room to the Pool,
and here the gap onto the Pool Deck.
My apologies for the poor quality of the photos and Blog content this week - Friday night Piton and
Tequila shandies at Doolittles make for terrible hangovers!!
