A shortened blog at the end of week 20 as sadly we have lost 2½ days out of 5 to heavy rain. A tropical wave parked itself over the Lesser Antilles and we enjoyed 48 hours of non-stop downpour. The results can be seen from the roadside drain above ......

the swimming pool .......

the
verandahs ......

and the hall.

However, despite the setback, much was achieved. Form-work was erected and the bottom half of one of the main columns was cast,

and the steel reinforcement for the second was started.

The form-work and some of the steel for the main ring beam were put in place.

The tower received some attention with the form-work for the arch being started.

The Pump Room floor received some back-fill which was vibrated prior to casting.

The footings for the drain at the bottom of the drive were cast and blocks put in place ready to receive the metal top bars.

The level of the main column shown here, will be the eventual level of the car port. It will need
substantial amounts of material to
back-fill - unless of course Malcolm &
Kenrick can come up with a cunning plan!

And finally a poor quality photo across the valley, hampered by heavy rain.
