WEEK 18 - STUDIO PLASTERED

A week of steady progress as the hot weather continues. This will be the new 'general view' as the south wall will not now change for some time.

Although the temperatures have been high, we've had a fair amount of rain as can be seen from the amount of water in the pool. I wouldn't want to swim in it, but it will be of use if the Wasco supply dries up.

The form work for the beams supporting the master bedroom is almost complete ......

and the steel reinforcement has been tied in.

Given good weather, we should be ready to cast the beams next week.

The other major task this week has been the rendering/plastering of the Studio Flat. The pictures do not do credit to the work that has been done, but I don't have a wide angle lens!!

The contrast of the stone against the rendering is brilliant.

Other tasks this week have included the digging of the footings for the pump room in preparation for the storage of the first tranche of wood from Guyana .......

and the casting of the footings for the first major column at the fromt of the house.

This is reassurance for Sabina that the 'hole in the wall' is for the double outlet in Bedroom 1 and will be filled ........

and there are 3 double outlets for the sound equipment in the stone cupboard under the stairs.

Finally, a view from across the valley from your new acquisition.
