WEEK 141 - BACK TO WORK IN 2011

The Team returned to work after a 3 week break and, despite wind and rain precluding work on the roof, progress has been made inside the house.

The masons have plastered the steps leading from the drive to the Studio Flat ...

..... and also commenced the stonework to extend the height of the BBQ pit.

The tiler who was supposed to be working on the Tea House is still employed on a previous project, so in order to make progress, Kenrick has started to lay the tiles in the Studio Flat.

The terracotta floor tiles have also been collected from the kiln and the projected pattern for the Guest Bedrooms laid out for Brett & Sabina's consideration.

Meanwhile, the form work for the under stairs fascia in the Tower is beginning to take shape.

Another batch of ridge tiles is now on site, but this aspect continues to provide challenges for the manufacturer.

The floor for the Entrance Hall/Kitchen is almost complete ....

....... with the finishing around the edges receiving some attention this week.

Just because I like the contrast between the stone work and the green heart frames!!

We look forward to Sabina's return next week bearing goodies for the Team to incorporate.

A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR READERS!
