The 'rainy season' has taken a temporary break this week and we have enjoyed some typically great Caribbean weather.
The sanding of the Main Bedroom ceiling and surrounds has been completed.
The final sky-lights have been fitted to the gable end of the south roof and the whole area has been HLS'd.
The screw holes on the Car Port ceiling have been filled and now await sanding.
Work on the railings continues on the Lounge Balcony ......
..... and once completed are fitted onto the designated area - here the detail has been inserted into the Guest Room Balcony.
The end pieces, top rail and detail are now in place in the Swimming Pool area.
Elsewhere, the small retaining wall has been constructed prior to casting the final piece of the path leading to the external Kitchen steps;
Guy, the electrician has commenced the wiring process;
and the first delivery of windows has arrived on site and will hopefully be fitted next week.
Another sub-contractor on site this week has been Alex who is fixing the metal brackets into the Master Bedroom shower area which will support the wooden strengthening beams for the extended roof overhang.
The disappointing news of the week is that the ridge tiles delivered have shrunk in the firing process and they are all unusable. The whole order will have to be re-made which could take some weeks. You can see from the photo the difference in size between the concrete mould and the finished clay version.
And finally, Garvan spent all of today cleaning up the site in preparation for Brett's visit. He will make someone a lovely wife one day!!!
