WEEK 118 - KITCHEN STEPS

Everyone was fully emancipated on Monday, and some made it to work on Tuesday!  Tropical Storm COLIN decided to pass us by, so some progress has been made this week.

The car port ceiling has been completed and we now await final instructions on whether further detail is required before the circular aperture is cut.

The detail in the railings around the pool has been inserted.

A few of the ridge tiles have at long last been collected and are being soaked in the pool prior to being put in place. Sadly, the remainder are not going to be ready for another 2 weeks and this will further slow overall progress.

Kenrick has reduced the Team this week by laying off the plasterers who have completed all that they can to date.  In their absence, the carpenters and labourers have concentrated on the woodwork.

The railings and upstairs ceilings have received their first coat of HLS.

The Master Bedroom floor is complete but will require a better clean to appreciate the full effect of the wood's distinctive colour.  The spots are specks of saw dust picked up by the new camera from the sanding operation above.

The sanding operation in action above .....

and even further up!

The external steps to the Kitchen were cast today - Friday.

And finally, a couple of close-in shots.
