WEEK 95 - STILL NO RAIN

Yet another rainless week and the Lucian Government have now declared an official State of Emergency.  Washing of cars, lawn sprinklers etc have been banned with heavy fines for those caught ignoring the order.  Apparently the limited remaining supplies will last until the end of March and with the forecasters saying there will be no appreciable rain until June, the future is looking a little bleak.  However, it has been good building weather and, despite a foreshortened week due to the Public Holiday for the 31st Anniversary of St Lucian Independance, progress has been made on all the fronts reported last week.

The main entrance steps have been cast.

Anthony has continued to tidy the plastering around the rafters ........

......... whilst the rafters themselves are being sanded to restore the original colour of the wood.

Plastering has also continued around the jacuzzi area.

The main push has centred on the Mora wood with sanding ......

........ then treating to deter termites and other wood gobbling nasties ...........

..... followed by coating with Sikkens HLS ........

... and finally being fixed to the roof.
