WEEK 50 - THE BACK HOE TIDIES UP

Only a 4 day week following the Easter break, but the weather has held and the project moved forward. The back hoe (excavator) has been on sight each day and has spread gravel onto the road below the house to decrease the mud problem .......

cleared out the gutters alongside the road ...........

.... and spread the last loads of back-fill up to the main entrance.

The eaves supporting the roof over the lounge balcony are being put in place.

Here Sextus and Terminus drill and then bolt the eaves to the beam.

Kenrick is pictured here supervising the complicated task of producing the curved ridge eaves for the main bedroom,

and here's one he produced earlier.

The younger brother of O'Niel and Roach has been on-site during his break from school and helped with moving the wood.

Kenneth, the mason, has been busy cutting out and repairing a slight bulge in the Tower wall ....

... preparing the form-work for the finishing of the wall at the top of the Tower ...

.... and plastering the sides of the stair steps.
