Despite a foreshortened week due to unseasonal rain and the start of the Easter break, good progress has been made.

The penultimate load of roof tiles has been collected and the design of the ridge tiles is to be finalised.

Thanks to Sabina's investigative efforts, a load of locally sourced green-heart has been located and delivered to site.

20 cubic yards of material was delivered and spread by the excavator to
back-fill the drive up to the main entrance.......still more needed to complete the carport.

Discussions are in progress as to what the final drive will be finished in, pavering blocks are preffered. Sabina saw these wonderful terracotta pavers whilst at the local Clay Products supplier.......but the final decision may be cost driven.

The four 8x8s have been erected .......

.... ready to support the lounge veranda roof.

The roof is coming on nicely but the Whale Bone Arch timbers are still being sourced. Sabina went along on a forest trip to source the Mahogany locally.

This Mahogany tree measured up to the job.

A moment to appreciate the beauty of in land St Lucia........

These long straight Pines would be perfect for the 8"Dia roof ties, soft enough to bend but need to be stained.......the options will need to be discussed further.

Sabina is reconsidering her idea of the 3rd arch to the Masterbedroom terrace as it could be too busy.
The Tower steps have been plastered and the interior is now
beginning to look very smart.

The ridge eave has been extended to the full length of the east/west roof .....

... and here you can see the scaffolding for the north/south roof ......

..and the first of the side eaves for the west end roof.

The view across the valley

and here showing the full glory of the neighbours new roof.
