The new part arrived for the excavator (hurrah!), but after only half a day's work, the new part broke (boo!), and we await its replacement.

The masons have moved into the Tower and have begun to plaster the internal walls. It's difficult to show the full effect with this camera, but the results are very good.

The inside of the house structure is now filled with greenheart, protected for now by tarpaulins. Sabina has been working tirelessly this week trying to source the second container and searching out suppliers on island to keep Kenrick going.

The 8x8s for the balcony railing supports.

At last the roof is beginning to take shape. It is a lengthy and laborious task due to the weight of the greenheart, however the tenacity and ingenuity of the Team have ensured steady progress.

The rafters have to be secured to the ridge rafter by screws - the wood is too hard for nails - .....
..... and concreted into the ring beam.

A couple of views across the valley showing the emerging roof.
Brett arrived on Friday for a tour of inspection and maybe the odd Piton!!
Sabina:- Last week ended with a superb Sunday sail with my super friends & neighbours Jeff (who writes this Blog) & Jan. This was a picture taken as we were sailing out of the Bay showing the Tea House. We've had a very productive week, it's great to see the progress.
Apertures have been cut into the side of the Tower to receive the rafters and will be subsequently concreted in.
I'm begining to feel very comfortable here........I love the sun, the sea & snorkelling!
