This week has seen lengthy negotiations regarding the wood delivery. Sabina has been assured that the first container is in the hands of the shipping agent and it should arrive in St Lucia next Wednesday! Let's hope that next week's edition of the Blog shows piles of wood on site and the carpenters and joiners sharpening their saws.

Meanwhile,
Kenrick and the reduced Team have been finishing the drive retaining walls and the excavator
beginning to shape the final setting.
A great deal of material will be needed to be brought on site to
back-fill certain areas, but for now the basic shape can be seen.

Some trees have fallen victim to the excavations ........

but Sabina's favorite has so far survived by some careful crafting of the retaining wall.

Franz & Pascal cast the second floor of their main building before returning to a very cold Canada,

and the neighbours are racing ahead with their roof and plastering the exterior walls. If the wood arrives next week,
Kenrick will be hot on their heals....

It was a really tense & upsetting week for me, the wood situation was a huge wind up!
A container has left Guyana & should arrive mid-week but..... we're not out of the woods yet..it's not enough to get the roof done.....there's still a long way to go.
I also had some renovations done at The Stone House......to get rid of some pesky dry wood termites.
It was a tricky job, another aggrivation loud & dusty, but I found somone who was willing to get on with it, the terrace roof feels a lot more solid now.
The highlight this week was Kenrick taking control of the excavator & picking out some lovely large stones.....too big to bring back in the suitcase but great to start a rock garden.....we love stones!!

The week ended with a day to totally unwind- Sunday 11.00am a massage followed with a fish Roti for lunch then a Pedicure (wow I've got new feet). I walked to my fab friend Josee's & went snorkelling, at the local bay, then caught the sunset from the Tower a magical end to a perfect day, I feel revitalised & ready for next weeks challenges.
