Sorry for the delay in updating the blog, unfortunately Jeff has retired from blog duty & I haven't had time to update the blog since Brett's 50th last November.
The pool is still not finished! the edges are being fitted......it's a VERY slow process!
A deck was started last week, using the left over pieces of hardwood, it'll form a seating area by the BBQ, it's a wonderful spot which catches the afternoon sun with less wind....perfect place for a Pimms!
I've re-finished the worktop in the en-suite bathroom of guest bedroom 1, a waterproof oil finish sealer, suitable for kitchens & bathrooms....looks fab, no water stains!
The basement bedroom now has furniture made by Shevran & O'Neil from the local wood I had cut.
The gutter at the front has been cleared & finished off with a row of blocks.
A camera pole has been put up at the side ready for the CCTVinstallation.
The wood under the pool deck has been cleared & taken to the Stone house....the next project.
The wood stacked at the back has been moved & taken to the Stone house....to be used for the next scaffold......when the roof gets replaced.
The most exciting progress is the garden, which is taking shape & will be ready for planting by rainy season. I've bought some beautiful feature palms from a neighbour to set the scene.
Vincent planted the Date Palm within a stone wall which makes a real statement, looks great against the stone walls.
Inside Mutti & I potted a couple of fan palms on the main terrace.
