WEEK 136 - FRAMES, FLOORS & WINDOWS

The weather has stayed fine and apart from some problems with the quality of the windows, things have moved ahead.

An opening has been created in the wall under the kitchen floor to allow access for the installation and maintenance of the AV system components.

More door frames have been collected and Anthony has been busy installing them.

Some of the internal green heart doors are also now on-site.

Jeffrey is constructing the cover for the access to the under floor water cistern.

The lounge floor is now complete ......

...... and work has moved on to the kitchen .......

..... and main entrance hall areas.

The terracotta tiles are being produced & Sabina is adding the creative touch, Brett had suggested pressing leaf prints into the tiles, looking forward to seeing the end result.

The first of the arched windows for the lounge have arrived and been offered up into position, but sadly they are not square and will have to be returned and the fault remedied.

Elsewhere, some of the scaffolding has been removed and it is now possible to have an unencumbered view - except for the reflection in the glass!

It is now 10 December 2010 and you can see from this shot why some of us have left the current wintry conditions in UK!!
