WEEK 111 - THE RAINY SEASON HAS ARRIVED

The rainy season has certainly arrived with an almost continuous stream of tropical waves marching across the Atlantic towards the Caribbean. Good for the water tanks but not so good for building projects.

You can see how much rain there has been from this shot which shows how the sea colour has been changed by the amount of fresh water and sand/mud has that been washed down from the hills.

It is now very important to complete the roof to ensure the inside of the house remains dry for the internal finishing work to proceed. The Team are nearly there with the Mora ceiling - but will there be enough wood to complete the task?
The plasterers have had a good week and are pushing to complete the studio flat. The floors are almost complete.
This water is rain driven in through the window aperture.

The main entrance steps have also been plastered.
The tiles are almost complete on both sides of the north roof - now we have to chase the ridge tiles!
Kenrick checks one of the ridge tile samples before they're fired, fixing them on the roof without a scaffold is the next scary challenge to overcome.
