WEEK 68 - MORE RAFTERS AND PLASTER

We were extremely lucky this week that Bill, the first major hurricane of the season, decided to turn north-west at the last minute and head off towards Bermuda. The local weather has remained dry and has allowed the plasterers and 'rafterers' to continue vying to see who can make the most progress.
Here Kenrick, Shevran and Wendle are placing rafters in the south roof.

The west roof is now showing the final shape of the roof.

The east gable end woodwork has been completed .........

.... and the first 2"x12" support is in place.

Meanwhile, the plasterers have completed the west guest bedroom. I have no wide-angle lens, so there are lots of shots!

The west end wall is complete .........

.... as is the south wall. After completion, channels had to be carved out to take the cabling for the security cameras.

The drive wall continues to take shape.

Here can be seen the apertures for the lights.

And finally, a few views across the valley.
