WEEK 32 - ONWARDS & UPWARDS

Despite today (Saturday) being St Lucia National Day, the Team arrived on time (as usual), ready to work, but sadly rain stopped play so the blog is out early. Despite this loss, the weather was kind for the rest of the week and progress has continued.

There has been a major tidy-up around the Pool/Jacuzzi area ........

with the second skimmer also being installed.

The left-hand column has been prepared to receive the top form-work ........

whilst the right-hand one already has half installed.

The stone-work for the lower kitchen wall has been completed .......

...... and the strings and scaffolding for the continuance of the stone-work have been put in place.

The outer walls of the Tower are now looking pretty impressive .........

and, making full use of the now externally mounted, Kenrick patented, pulley system, ........

...... the top of the wall has been cast.

Here the shadow of the intrepid photographer perched on the lintel of the access door to the top of the Tower.

The main push this week has been the casting of the Hall and first-floor veranda beams and floors on Tuesday ......

...followed by the brick-work for the walls and form-work for the top beams.

The general views this week are from the front elevation.

The next-door neighbours must be finally drinking what the 'A' Team have for breakfast and are making impressive progress with the blocks.
